About Four Corners Christian Service Camp

Our Purpose:

Four Corners Christian Service Camp exists to lead people to a complete and obedient relationship with Jesus Christ by daily reaching out to the four corners area and the world.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to see Four Corners Christian Service Camp become a quality center for uniting the Christian Churches in the four corners area by providing the facilities and assets to support various size groups for activities such as men's and women's retreats, youth retreats, seminars, family camps, youth camps, rallies and other events that fulfill our purpose statement.

Our History:

The Four Corners Christian Service Camp came into existence in 1966, through the efforts of five non-denominational Christian Churches in the Four Corners area who saw the need for a summer camp facility for youth. Thirty acres of land on the shores of Summit Lake , located eight miles northwest of Mancos , Colorado , were purchased. The property is situated among majestic ponderosa pine trees in the heart of Montezuma County ’s recreational area.

The original five churches involved in the purchase were the Christian Churches in Cortez and Durango , Colorado , Aztec and Farmington New Mexico , and the Navajo Indian Churches in Arizona and Mew Mexico . Two other churches, the Bayfield Christian Church, Bayfield , Colorado , and the Gallup Christian Church, Gallup , New Mexico , have since become participating members.
